Midwest Scuba offers both the PADI Adventure Diver and PADI Advanced Open Water Diver certifications.

If you complete any three adventure dives, you can earn your PADI Adventure Diver certification.

If you complete your Deep Adventure Dive, Underwater Navigation Adventure Dive and three Adventure Dives for a total of five, you can earn your Advanced Open Water Diver certification.

Your instructor may choose three from:

gives you the tools you need to perform CPR and First Aid. Whether you're a diver or a non-diver, Emergency First Response prepares you to properly handle potentially life-threatening situations.

This comprehensive program is composed of two core modules:

• Emergency First Response - Primary Care
• Emergency First Response - Secondary Care

Together, these courses provide extensive instruction in CPR and First Aid, as well as Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and Emergency Oxygen.

This course satisfies your PADI Rescue Diver CPR prerequisite.

 Emergency First Response: Care For Children

This course teaches you to provide emergency care for injured or ill children and infants. Whether you're a diver or a non-diver, Emergency First Response prepares you to properly handle potentially life-threatening situations.In learning CPR, Emergency Responders learn the ABCDs of primary care with an emphasis on considerations for a child's or infant's physiology and anatomy. Course participants practice steps that allow them to provide basic life support for most life-threatening emergencies.Emergency Responders also learn patient assessment and first aid.Prerequisites:
• No dive certification required
• No minimum age limit

 Oxygen First Aid

This course represents entry level training designed to educate the general diving (and qualified non-diving) public in recognizing possible dive related injuries and providing emergency oxygen first aid while activating the local emergency medical services (EMS) and/or arranging for evacuation to the nearest available medical facility.Upon completion of this course, the student will receive both a DAN Oxygen Provider certification and a PADI Oxygen First Aid Specialty certification card.This Specialty course also counts toward one of the five Specialties required for your Master Scuba Diver certification.Prerequisites:
• No dive certification required
• Recommended minimum age is 12 years old

The PADI Rescue Diver will expand your knowledge and experience beyond a purely recreational level because you'll learn to look beyond yourself and consider the safety and well being of other divers.Although this course is serious, it is an enjoyable way to build your confidence.Rescue Diver training will prepare you to prevent problems and, if necessary, manage dive emergencies.
During the open water sessions, you'll cover:

• Self-rescue and diver stress
• Dive first aid
• Emergency management and equipment
• Swimming and non-swimming assists
• Panicked diver response
• Underwater problems
• Missing diver procedures
• Surfacing the unconscious diver
• In-water artificial respiration
• Egress (exits)
• First aid procedures for pressure related accidents

The PADI Rescue Diver certification is a prerequisite for all Professional level PADI courses, beginning with the PADI Divemaster certification.Prerequisites:
