See below for description and location of these sites plus others.
Demo
gear and gear rental...
All
demo gear is arranged directly with Midwest Scuba prior to the event. The gear will be yours
to use for the weekend. There are limited quantities
of some of the bigger items - so make your arrangements early. All rental gear will be discounted during these weekends to $25 per day, this is a $10 discount from the regular price.
Giveaways...
Midwest Scuba will be giving away a free air fill card at each
event. Everyone that attends will be eligible for the drawing. Also, at
the December social, Midwest Scuba will have a giveaway for scuba
gear; for each event that you attend during the year, you will get your
name entered into the drawing. For example: If you come to all 8
events, your name will be in the hat 9 times for the drawing. Note:
Staff and employees are not eligible for either item.
Releases...
If
you are planning on attending any of the Explore Midwest Diving
weekends, the only formalities you must complete are two simple forms.
These forms can be printed off our website or pick them up during the event. These
releases will cover you for all Explore Midwest Diving events for 2011.
Participants will still need to fill out the individual releases for
the dive sites when they pay their entrance fees.

MeetUp Group ...
Explore
Midwest Divers has a group page on MeetUp groups. This group allows you
to see who is going on the Saturday dives and send messages out to
others. Using this free service will connect participants so that they
may schedule carpools, share rooms or any other detail before each
weekend. We also have photos from prior trips posted.
Everyone in the group will get an e-mail just before the event of the
current conditions, any last minute changes and current water
temperatures. You can find the group by going to: http://www.meetup.com/Explore-Midwest-Diving/

So
sign up and start diving! No dive buddy is necessary because you will
find plenty of buddies with the group. Again, these events are FREE and you have a chance to win FREE air fill cards at each event and a scuba tank at the end of the year!
Local Diving Destinations
Despite
the popular perception that there are no diving opportunities in the
Midwest, there are plenty of places to get wet! These locations are not
just designed for training, they can be a great weekend escape, too!
