PADI eLearning®
PADI eLearning makes it easy to fit scuba lessons into a busy schedule. Learn about scuba diving principles and terminology whenever, wherever it’s convenient for you.
It’s your course on your time. Study offline, or online using a computer or mobile device. Connect with your instructor whenever you have a question. Once you have completed your online course, pop into the shop to attend a short orientation and to get sized for equipment. See the Open Water Schedule here.

PART 2
With Your Instructor
Practice using scuba gear in a pool (or pool-like environment) until you’re comfortable. PADI training includes practice “mini dives” to help you build confidence in your new abilities before making four dives in open water.
- Prerequisites: Able to swim; medically fit for diving
- Total time commitment: 4-7 days
- Minimum age: 10 years or older
- Depth: expect shallow dives (12m/40ft), the maximum allowed depth is 18m/60ft

The online material prior to the orientation may take up to a week to complete depending on your learning type. The online material is beneficial to complete, so that when you attend your first day everyone knows the basics to add to the in person training. We really enjoyed the in depth knowledge we gained through this course as well as how friendly and accommodating Midwest Scuba was to us ensuring we were comfortable in our scuba dive equipment under water. I recommend taking this course for anyone interested in becoming a certified scuba diver. Additionally, our daughter needed extra time under water and the instructors spent some one-on-one time until she mastered the skills she needed more time on. The instructors were very helpful in any questions we had along the way and now we are ready to explore.
